Thursday, September 8, Documentaries - 9/11

Objective: Students will learn new literary terms and contniue to research 9/11.

DO NOW

Write the following definitions in notebooks:

GENRE - a category of artistic, musical, or literary composition characterized by a particular style, form, or content
Documentary - A piece of literature, film or informationbased on facts and documents presented without prejudice or bias.

2. KWL charts - add questions you came up with from homework. Add everything you know to date.

3. View new clips from Twin Towers.

Objective: Students will demonstrate understanding of "genre' and "documentaries.'

DO NOW
1. Use text to look up definition of both of the above terms. Write in notebooks.

2. Discuss different genres of film. Discuss upcoming documentary of 10th anniversary of 9/11.

3. View clips of 9/11.

4. Discuss. Exit pass.

HW Interview adults in your home about their memory of 9/11 and write in notebooks.
